RecompForge does not sell your personal data. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — your inputs like weight, height, and age are never sent to or stored on our servers.
What We Collect
The calculator inputs you enter — like age, weight, height, and activity level — stay on your device and are never sent to us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address, and your message.
When you visit the site, we automatically collect some basic technical info like your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and device type. This is only used to keep the site running and to understand general usage patterns.
How We Use It
We use this data to run the site, fix problems, improve the calculator, and reply to your messages. We don't use your data for ads, profiling, or any kind of automated decision-making that could affect you.
Cookies
We use a few types of cookies. Some are necessary for the site to work — these can't be turned off. Analytics cookies help us see how people use the site; this data is anonymous and you can opt out through your browser or Google's opt-out tool. Preference cookies remember small things like your unit choice (kg or lbs) so you don't have to reselect every time.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage stats, jsDelivr CDN to load stylesheets and icons, and a web hosting provider that keeps server logs for security. None of these receive your personal health data. We don't share or sell your information to anyone else, unless required by law.
Data Security
Our site uses HTTPS to encrypt all traffic. Since the calculator runs in your browser, your health inputs never leave your device. Server logs are deleted after 90 days. No system is 100% secure, but we do our best to keep your data safe.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. EU/EEA users have rights under GDPR. California users have rights under CCPA. You can also opt out of analytics tracking anytime. Just email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
RecompForge is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think your child has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we'll delete it right away.
