1. Manghyang Bibim Guksu Main Branch
I stopped by on my way to Yeoncheon Jaein Falls, and it was crowded even for a late lunch. Ordering via the kiosk was great because the food came out quickly without any waiting. The old and new buildings are connected, and there is a field of purple chrysanthemums in Manghyang Park next to the new building, so you can enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning view. I also recommend heading to the dog-friendly dining area after your meal to take some amazing photos. Previously, you had to reserve a seat and pay at the counter, but now it has changed to a system where you order via a kiosk at the entrance and pick up your food when your number is called, just like at a rest stop. The interior has also become more spacious. It was still delicious, and there were even comments saying the bibim guksu broth tasted like refreshing tteokbokki sauce. The sweet and salty balance, which seemed like the white kimchi served as a side dish had been marinated in the broth and mixed in, was a bit lacking for my taste, but I guess this is the flavor that people have been looking for for a long time.

2. Nogok Handmade Tofu Village
It's a tofu restaurant, but it seemed like 80% of the customers were eating the freshwater shrimp sujebi. There were a lot of locals there. It was great to be able to try the freshwater shrimp sujebi for 9,000 won, and the rice is really delicious. They cook Cheorwon Odae rice in a pressure cooker, so the rice is incredibly sweet. I stopped by because I wanted to eat tofu on my way to a nearby resort, and I was truly satisfied. The freshwater shrimp sujebi has a generous portion and the broth is really refreshing, so you definitely have to try it. My younger sibling ate the Yukgaejang Sundubu to cure a hangover and finished it in no time. The owner is also friendly, which is nice. It's the kind of hidden gem I want to keep all to myself. I would definitely visit again, 10,000%.

3. Dowon Garden
My boyfriend and I went, and the meal was truly delicious. We weren't very hungry, so we ordered two servings, but it wasn't enough. Make sure to order three servings. They say you can pack up any leftovers. My foodie boyfriend kept raving about how delicious it was the entire way there; I felt like my ears were going to wear out from all the talking. If you're in the area, you absolutely must visit. There's a stream right in front, and the landscaping is so beautiful that it's pure relaxation. It had been a while since my last visit, but as expected, the chewy, large free-range chicken and the addictive sauce that makes you want to keep eating were the best. The chicken legs and wings were so big that just looking at them made me feel full. The weather was nice, and this is my go-to restaurant that always brightens my mood whenever I visit.

4. Zhangjiajie
I had the Jjamppong. The portion was decent, though slightly too much for my standards. I liked that it wasn't too spicy. The prices are a bit on the expensive side compared to other places, but I appreciated that the seafood seemed fresh. Next time, I plan to try the Tray Jjajang, which looks quite generous. I stopped by because I was hungry on my way to Cheorwon, and the food was delicious. Both the Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong were tasty, and the spacious parking lot is convenient.

5. Odakgol Restaurant
When I first entered the alley, I wondered if there would even be a restaurant, but quite a few people were visiting. The freshwater shrimp stew is generous in portion, complete with handmade sujebi (hand-pulled dough noodles). It wasn't too spicy, and the aroma of the freshwater shrimp made it delicious. The side dishes were also well-seasoned. I felt a bit thirsty afterward, but it was a satisfying meal. They also accept Yeoncheon Pay. The grilled snakehead fish is also delicious. It is a delicacy as not many places sell it. I visited this place after looking around the Pocheon Hantan River Garden Festa and searching for good restaurants; I ordered the spicy catfish stew, and ended up eating half a bowl of rice just with the side dishes. All the side dishes were tasty, and the spicy catfish stew was clean and very delicious. With plenty of sujebi, I had a filling meal. This was my first time trying the grilled snakehead fish, and since it is near the Hantan River campsite, there were quite a few customers getting takeout. The freshwater shrimp stew features an excellent broth that is savory, refreshing, and clean, and it comes with a generous amount of chewy sujebi. The grilled snakehead feels more like marinated stir-fry than grilled fish; the seasoning isn't strong, and the flavors of green onions, garlic, and onions blend well with the taste of the fish. I liked the tender yet slightly oily texture. Side dishes can be refilled self-service style.

6. Shilla Garden
This is Silla Garden, where I stopped by for lunch while in Yeoncheon. It is located at the entrance of the Hantan River Tourist Area, making it easily accessible. I ordered the Hanwoo Bulgogi Set Meal, which was a course meal that included rice cooked in a pot and stew. The amount of meat was generous, and I liked that I could use the self-service bar for extra side dishes. I ate until I was absolutely stuffed, finishing with the crispy rice crust at the bottom of the pot and the stew. There are plenty of seats and even private rooms, so it would be perfect for gatherings. It has been a famous restaurant for over 10 years, so I knew it was good, but after trying it, it really is. I could tell the meat quality was excellent for both the Hanwoo Bulgogi and the Yukhoe (raw beef), and the spacious restaurant is great for group meetings. A renowned restaurant that has received a Blue Ribbon is indeed different. I really enjoyed the meal. All the side dishes were tasty, and I enjoyed the bulgogi with plenty of bean sprouts, the soybean paste stew that tasted like homemade soybean paste, and the cold noodles. It is a little disappointing that you can't order the cold noodles as a dessert when ordering the bulgogi menu, only the main course version, but thanks to that, I left feeling completely full. The food is good every time I come, but the mood is just... haha.

7. Aseung Buckwheat Noodles
This is a representative buckwheat noodle restaurant in Yeoncheon-gun. Since there aren't many seats, there tends to be a bit of a wait during peak dining hours. I highly recommend the "Gongi Makguksu," where you can enjoy soy sauce, spicy, and broth-based buckwheat noodles. I think it would be good to try the Gongi Makguksu a few times and then return to order a single-menu buckwheat noodle dish according to your preference. The buckwheat noodles are made fresh in-house, and because of the high buckwheat content, the texture isn't chewy and has a great mouthfeel. I recommend this place if you are craving buckwheat noodles in Yeoncheon. The broth had a unique, refreshing, and delicious sweet fruity flavor. I had the soy sauce buckwheat noodles, and I really enjoyed the mild and nutty flavors that I like.
